Krista Brennan is a multidisciplinary artist creating works that explore her deep fascination for human connections, cultures and traditions. Her photographic practice involves collaborating with her subjects to create captivating portraits that speak in part to the differences between us, but also to the things that connect us. 

This connection is fortified through Krista’s fine art practice of harvesting, hand-processing and refining pigments from natural ochres into watercolour paints, which she uses to delicately embellish each print. Many of these ochres have been gifted to her from the people and tribes in the photographs, with the understanding that a small piece of their natural world will be forever bonded to their image.
